Wasn't the whole point of him leading the Night's Watch so he could learn some lessons about leadership?

Totally agreed. And even beyond that, it's his project. He can cast whoever he wants IMO.
It gave me such an uncomfortable laugh too. Everything before it is so WTF and bizarre, I was just staring at the screen with my mouth open and then that line hit. It forced me to laugh, hard, it was such a weird feeling.
I'm pretty sure that large chunk of the new cast is just Lynch's friends or fans from Hollywood. Quite a few of the celebrities in FWWM were there because they were fans of Twin Peaks or friends with Lynch (like Bowie and Kiefer Sutherland), but if you combine that with Lynch's refusal to talk about the casting…
Yeah, it definitely makes sense that Dennis Villeneuve would follow up Arrival, of all films, with a big dumb action movie version of Blade Runner.
They have annoyingly high sales expectations for their North American studios. Like the recent situation with Hitman. I'm pretty sure it sold almost 2 million copies and yet that was a "failure" to them.
Deus Ex is on ice so the studio can make stupid Marvel Games, your comment just makes me sad :(
For places like Facebook so if you're just scrolling past you still see that little 5 second snippet.
Upvoted for Morrowind reference
I hope there's never a place for it. If I wanted pedantry, I'd be on reddit.
I prefer the sequel too. It has more action and tension (that airport scene, omg) and a more gripping narrative over-all, imo, I thought it made sense.
I have no connection to the original comic at all so I've always thought Constantine was really entertaining. One of the better urban fantasy films, really.
It's definitely enjoyable, I just like my action movies with better action. Con Air is more memorable because of its cast and Nic Cage's performance.
Con Air is mid-tier at best. There are sooooo many better action movies from the 90s. Better ones with Nick Cage, even. I'd take The Rock or Face/Off over it, any day.
I like it, it's pretty snappy, like an Elmore Leonard novel title.
Yeah, I was glad the article pointed out that assassin fight in Supremacy. It really is a legitimately well done fight scene, that uses the shaky camera in a positive way and still leaves room for wider shots to establish geography and show off the the choreography
Tom Cruise in Collateral was like the original John Wick.
It's not an action moment but I love when Jamie Foxx has to meet Javier Bardem and impersonate Vincent. Such an intense scene.
That's what I love Collateral for the most, the late night vibe. Even though it's super intense, it has this really chill vibe a lot of the time too.
It's actually kind of overwhelming to the point where it makes me want to not watch any of it. How does anyone have the time?
