Pod was a fun little movie, and this looks good too. Plus, I love when a horror film clocks in at under 80 minutes. It's a nice little sweet spot.

Yeah, I'm so confused with people saying it's not a horror film. There are classic horror films with less scares.
My username being exhibit A.
I really need to read more from him. But I've been waiting to find a nice looking edition of On Stranger Tides, as that seems like the most interesting to me after Declare. Maybe I'll try Last Call though since I'm not having any luck with the former.
Disqus is really fucking up right now. This place seems relatively quiet for the TI and yet only three threads are loading.
Great review, as always! I just finished Pyramid's myself. Took me a bit to get through, it wasn't my favourite, although I rather liked its commentary though and some of the observations it made. It really pointed out the absurdity of burial rituals, they actually make no sense from any sort of logical point of view.
Try Declare from Tim Powers. It's the only book of his I've read, but I love it so, so, sooooo much.
A few weeks ago I couldn't do a pull up to save my life, now I can do like, two! The gains are real! I just need a scale now to track my progress. And I got to try an actual bench press on the weekend. I really want to save now and be able to get my own.
I put Dark Souls 2 on hold so I could play Demon's Souls. People were saying that this is essentially your last chance to play it with any sort of active servers due to DS3's imminent release. It's pretty wild so far, a bit harder in some ways, and surprisingly fast paced. I'm playing as an OP mage thought so I can…
Finally finished Samurai Champloo. I was so prepared for a downer ending ala Cowboy Bebop, but it was the total opposite. I've seen a lot of people say it's bittersweet or sad, and it is in some ways, but only for a moment. I thought to myself, "They're gonna be okay" and it was all the conclusion I needed.
I can't abide the Graduation hate. Good Morning, Champion, Stronger, Good Life, Can't Tell Me Nothing, Barry Bonds, Drunk and Hot Girls, Flashing Lights, Everything I Am, The Glory, Homecoming, Big Brother. All classic level Kanye tracks.
They made it PG13 and didn't include any child eating.
Maybe it's simply because he has a larger output, but when it comes to classic kung-fu stars, my favourite is Gordon Liu.
I personally disagree with that sort of attitude towards the series. The creator has said multiple times that he wants the gamer to win. Contrary to what the majority of the fanbase tells you, I think they're rather optimistic. They're not about punishing yourself so much as they are about self-improvement, overcoming…
I think Bloodborne's style is a lot closer to how people normally play modern games (quick and aggressive), which is why Dark Souls is so hard. It wants you to play defensively when other games want you to be aggressive because they're so easy. You have to retrain yourself to play Dark Souls where as Bloodborne is…
Dark Souls 2, even though it fucking kicked my ass on Monday night.
Apparently I'm going to get asked to do a solo shoot tomorrow (AKA the most stressful thing ever) but I can't think of a reasonable excuse. It would go over-time too, right at the start of my weekend. Being told I've got a solo shoot is a recipe for insomnia. :(
Still finishing up Pyramids. It's taking me a while because I'm not finding the characters super engaging. I like a lot of it though, like the more in-depth look at the Assassin's Guild, or the whole mystery behind Dios, it just hasn't all came together for me yet.
Try Blood Money if you can, it's the best.
It's entertaining in Hitman but I find how conspicuous you are in stealth games to be really annoying most of the time. And when games are even remotely realistic about it people consider them "broken" because they go against the pre-established rules of a stealth game.
