Don’t be fooled: he is not directly stating that they will not help with denying entry to migrants, he stated there is “no plan” to deny them entry. When DHS needs help, commanders will issue vague orders and then allow troops to fill in the blanks.  They won’t directly say “stop those immigrant and arrest them.”

I live in DC and voted for Initiative 77 to raise the tipped minimum wage for service workers. The DC council promptly overruled the majority of voters and trashed it. I will continue to vote every election because it’s easy as shit, but anyone who says “your vote matters” are ignorant.

The Christian Right truly believes that anyone can be a means to an end. This is why you have them being the most staunch defenders of Israel, even though they think Jews are going to hell.  They don’t care if personally someone is gay (they are going to hell, anyways), as long as they help them achieve their goals.

This is spot on. However, as someone who has lived both places for many years, DC is infinitely better than Baltimore in every single conceivable metric. 

One clear thing from almost any article on Baltimore is how it confuses and lumps together city residents (who are majority black), and Baltimore County suburban assholes. The Ravens are much more important to the later than the former.
