I've been wondering how many of the responses here are written by the family member who is the sociopathic sister.

"I'd just call her out on her weak attempts at emotional manipulation and hammer in on her idiocy" Never do this to anyone.

Did those men do well by you at least?

Could she have brought the children to the church thing?

Kids are very resilient and independent. Don't worry about them being "brainwashed", just let them have their grandma in all her fervent weirdness as she is. They'll navigate the contradictions themselves, and much more healthily if supported by a network of family who love and accept each other despite disagreements.

I just recently finished the book and was very underwhelmed. As a spiritual drama the actual drama was defused repeatedly prior to the supposed climactic dilemma, and the theology and philosophy were simplistic and naive. I think it was supposed to be more representative of the general experience of the Japanese

It's a pure secret success. This performance knocked me out the first time it aired and continues to knock me out every time I revisit it. Really moving lyrics and melodies and a performance so raw and heartfelt I can't think of anything else that compares to it. The spiritual fervor and emotion Lauryn is experiencing

The songs are always a strong point but it seemed like the whole show was being improvised and "meaningless patter in the style of __________" is only funny for a minute if it doesn't lead somewhere. The bit about marijuana dispensaries was the only 'traditional' stand up bit and it was really good, and the last song

But Walmart is from Arkansas, a BAD state full of the BAD kind people, while Amazon is from San Francisco, a GOOD city full of the GOOD kind of people.

Ok I understand, and my point is not to demonize Hillary but to learn from her failure and to remove from positions of power those people who engineered her nomination. Not as a punishment but to prevent the same poor decisions that got us here. Because a lot of those "idiot hicks" (who are not idiots or bad actors

Wait. Are you saying "idiot hicks" are the ones who needed to get off their high horses and roll with it?

That's just it - this is a national program. Obviously most viewers are not New Yorkers. Do this at the fucking cast party. The fact that everyone in 'flyover country' is treated to so much myopic self regarding popular culture from the coasts is a big part of why there are two Americas that are at each other's

The same Tulsi Gabbard who is a supporter of Indian fascist Narendra Modi? I guess fascism is no longer taboo in America so maybe you're right.

He was a much better Secretary of State under Obama, and he actually won some serious elections as a senator, so it couldn't be worse.

The only seriously contested election she ever won was against Bernie Sanders. As heir to a dynasty she lost to a young Black senator in 2008, almost lost to a socialist in 2016, and lost to a reality star. She may be a qualified administrator but she was a terrible candidate, which was obvious all along.

Latinae

Congratulations on learning nothing, and a preemptive congratulations on helping repeat this event in 4 years.

Same "idiot hicks" who elected Obama twice. Clinton was a lame candidate from the beginning. How did a SOCIALIST unknown from Vermont with no money nearly beat her? She sucks really bad, that's how. But liberal elites were in love with the myth.

I laughed out loud at that one. Yes, Hillary Clinton, the famous truth teller who is known to be an open book and completely sincere.

The code was identifying a racial minority by religion. The fascism is lamenting demographic shift and joking about nuking because of it.
