I wish I could dig Prince but growing up in the 80's as a classic rock fan, he always just sounded like a mediocre pop star on the level of Hall & Oats. I recognize he must be a genius and the deficiency must be all mine, but I just can't get over that early impression. I need Ryan Adams to cover Dirty Mind or

Doesn't this argument also work for the threat of anti-trans violence? Just replace "men attacking women in the women's room" with "men attacking transwomen in the men's room"?

If I had made and paid for arrangement to go to one of these shows I'd be eager to join a class action suit against the band.

The Yardbirds, I guess, if you want to count barely legit reunions. Likewise The Faces.

The Velvet Underground. Television. Big Brother and the Holding Company. Jefferson Airplane. Bob Dylan, seemingly, if you just listened to his debut album, Nashville Skyline, and Modern Times.

He could consider his phrasing though.

"Just look at this duckin' bearded hipster"

This is the first album by them that hasn't annoyed the hell out of me, and I love it. Like the Velvets and Pavement they now combine that sort of weary bored attitude with catchy melodies and interesting tones.

Yikes these are five uninspired covers. I was excited about this based on the diverse and surprising artist list, but if everyone brings the lethargy and lack of imagination the way these five did I'll just go back to the thousands of shows streaming on archive.org when I feel in the mood for the Dead.

Radiohead.

Madmen should have used it.

SPOILER ALERT:

Haha a review of that show:
"They played here a while back with This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb, Abe Froman, The Devil is Electric and some local noise-makers (Die And See, who I haven't heard from since) and Sinaloa (weird post-hardcore stuff.)

When these guys first got together I guess they decided to get some practice by touring the basement show circuit of Mosshart's previous hardcore band and I saw them play in Philly after 4 or 5 Plan-It-X Records straight edge bands. Only about 10 people even stayed in the basement to watch them and of course the hard

Seriously, if Calvin would do some solo stuff or reunite Beat Happening I'd at least pitch in, well, $20 for that. And with everyone else who is yearning for that he'd at least get $200, $300 closer to solvency.

What is "bad" press? Aside from the quality of the product, don't you think more people would be interesting in buying the next Sony Kesha album now if there is one?

Wellllll, Chris Brown's post-conviction releases charted higher than any of his prior stuff, so maybe all publicity is good if you don't have a soul?
