No company can be expected to keep multiple redundant services running forever. There is only so much time,money,and people to maintain it until it’s clear the product is innefective,outdated,or redundant.

With the context I don’t see why that is a problem. If they were paying the police to disrupt other buisnesses,that would be outrageous,but they’re not. Theyre just getting a small repayment for the damage done by having so much security in the area.

The alternative to trying to remedy that would be them being known as “the company that takes away paid content with no explaination and denies it”. that would be a disaster

If its a game that also has a non steam version then its plausible that they do have a copy. Though,if they get asked about which version they have and they claim its thr steam,for that account,then it would be easy to tell they lied haha

Connection is different from scanning. One could have it set to connect to any open network,but thats risk and usually not done. Favorite networks lets you connect to networks you know of. Turning of the antenna completely will save battery as it wont be scanning,but baring some other radio it wont know to turn back…
