Seems like it’s a pretty typical affair for Idea Factory/Compile Heart, the developer of Crosswave. They also did the Neptunia games and Fairy Fencer F. Their games tend to be story/dialogue heavy from my experience. Also tend to be somewhat flawed but still endearing games, too.

I am partial to Azur Lane, myself. Bit of a guilty pleasure but it is pretty generous for a gacha game. A lot more open about drop rates than other gacha, too.

Seriously Kotaku? Not even a spoiler warning before you post spoilers? Yeah, know the game has been out a year and get that the DLC is about trying up loose threads from the ending but I still haven’t gotten around to finishing it and had managed to avoid spoilers so far.

I think it was because of copyright concerns in the US. Worried Ray Bradbury would sue them or something.

I liked Indigo Prophecy. Yeah, it went nuts by the end but it was a breath of fresh air at the time compared to everything else coming out at the time.

I mean, the Hosnian Prime thing makes some sense if you assume the visibility thing was planned by the First Order as an intimidation tactic to the rest of the galaxy. Feels like it’s giving the writers too much credit though.

Honestly, the tidbit I found most interesting/exciting was the re-canonization of Revan from KOTOR. Since the visual dictionary apparently explained that Palpatines legions of Sith Troopers were named after Sith Lords and the 3rd Legion was the Revan Legion.

Parroty? God, I remember some of their other stuff from when I was little. Parodies of Star Wars and the X-Files. I thought they were hilarious at the time but I was also like six, too.

What’s going on with Kotaku?

I think man-guided kamikaze rockets is probably a bit too much for DICE to want to touch. The IJA equivalent of the JB-2, which the US will be sharing with the British, looks to be based on the Ohka/Baka Bomb but an unmanned version.

Boomers don’t give a damn about climate change because they know they will be dead by the time the worst of its effects hit.

You’re an idiot.

And yet when you point out the defacto exclusivity Steam has on countless PC titles due to not being available on any other digital platform, the Valve fanboys go into denial that it’s not a ‘real’ exclusive because there is no contract.

Steam lets users choose? Does that mean I can play Monster Hunter World on PC without having to open Steam?

Part of the discoverability problem is probably due to the fact that Valve doesn’t curate the store.

Steam is still DRM. Try launching Steam exclusive PC games without Steam running. Steam opens if you do so.

It’s just been around so long people stopped thinking of it as DRM.

That’s one of the critiques about the EGS that tends to get me to laugh, the people declaring they hate EGS because it doesn’t have the same features Steam does.

My thoughts on that are that: A. I’d rather they start off feature light and make sure the basic premise of a digital storefront that is functional and work

The anti-EGS crowd are a lot of entitled pricks. Saw people on an article about this on PC Gamer declaring they were going to pirate the game.

Deciding you can steal a product because you don’t like a business deal is the epitome of entitlement.

If you don’t like the exclusivity deal, that’s fair. Just don’t buy the

I imagine if Wal-Mart did stop selling guns outright Ya’ll Qaeda would have a temper tantrum.

The anti-EGS crowd are entitled pricks who would have freaked out about it regardless.
