Let me preface this by saying I have no problem with other cultures and societies (in fact, I work well with them and enjoy it). However, the company I work for is a major telecommunications company and grammar is at the bottom of the list when they hire. We have a lot of guys from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, China…
Excellent. As an LTE system engineer as well as being a graduate student in RF & Microwave Engineering, this is right up my alley. I prefer to see the dBm values to have a real idea of what my RSCP/RSRP (UMTS/LTE) is.
Another consideration that is actually quite crucial is 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. Otherwise, your red and blue text will look smeared on a black background. This is really distracting for some.
I just use Google's cached version.
Did they also compare it to water that was boiled and then left to cool? Microwaving your food is just transferring the energy to the water via electromagnetism instead of using a burner. Water molecules vibrate in response to both, thus causing temperature to rise. Physically speaking, I don't see the difference.
This is the most horrible myth ever perpetrated about cell phones. The truth is this. Cell phones DO NOT emit ionizing radiation (i.e. X-rays, gamma rays, ultra violet rays). This energy has frequencies in the TERRAHERTZ (THz). The kind of "radiation" that cell phones emit is 700 MHz to 2100 MHz, and this kind of…
You also have to turn it on under Settings > Accessibility. I found it when I thought "oh, at least I can turn on LED notifications" and went to the accessibility settings.
Well, it may sound silly, but after watching Moses from biggest loser 11, one of the techniques he learned was "shadow boxing." Because his legs were bad, he would frequently sit in front of a mirror and do boxing moves (jab, cross, hook, uppercut).
You can sync your device without being plugged in, it just won't happen automatically. You need to go into the settings and tell it to sync.
AT&T is headquartered in Plano, if there is a dropped call reported by a VIP, there's a team immediately on it. That being said, living in this area too, I don't have any issues with my 3G service. LTE should be pretty nice when it comes (finally) to iphone!
This is totally civility. Together we thrive!
You want the RT-N16 for free? What planet do you live on that companies are giving routers away for free, especially with that level of features?
Notification popups. It gets annoying sometimes when I'm in the middle of something it pops up and interrupts. Since most applications have the "menu" bar visible, why not integrate some kind of notification drop down that you can access from the bar?
Wow, she's pretty boneheaded. I don't know about anyone else, but eBay has been masking bidder identities by inserting asterisks.
@gametours: They are probably the same people who leave the shopping cart stuck when they go to the grocery store :)
For anyone looking for a good, reliable, hackintosh-compatible wireless card, look no further than this:
@AgentEd: I did a hackintosh as a stop-gap for my wife who was on a 2.16 GHz mac mini that could only support 2 GB of ram. Using an mATX gigabyte board, 4GB of RAM (when it was still $100) and a Pentium Dualcore e6500, I was able to put the machine together for less than $250. However, I already had the case, PSU, and…
For those who prefer to stick with Gigabyte boards, there is a nice installer called Kakewalk. If you do a google search, you'll find it pretty fast. I use that for my installations and it's pretty painless. I've used Multibeast for sound troubleshooting though with success.
