A political discussion at my own pop culture forum. I feel like a Kennedy.

I was indeed joking but would you seriously not offer a word of disapproval if I said I was planning to play RapeLay for the weekend?

It's definitely worth playing BTW. It's a solid game. Just no where near being a great game that a lot of people seem to think it is and just about passes as a good game.

The unsavoury opinions of any creator in any medium can be forgotten about if their product is good enough. I mean, Jonathan Blow isn't on par with Roman Polanski just yet.

I hear ya

You mean when you fall down into the pit? Yeah, that was unnecessarily difficult and almost made me stop. Glad I didn't though. Probably its best bits came after.

I have to say I was underwhelmed by Spec Ops: The Line. The rave reviews seem to be centred around the story which to me was far too derivative of the classic Heart of Darkness/Apocalypse Now narrative. I mean, the main antagonist was called Konrad. That's laying it on pretty thick.

ME and your brother. Sorry, long day.

You and your brother have something in common. More if you consider other characteristics like air breathing, warm blooded, mammalian males etc.

Halo, Halo, it's a wonderful game, Halo

I don't think it's just in music either and it's been going on for a long time. A friend of mine put his meagre savings and committed a sizeable chunk of his equally meagre salary into a ill conceived business idea a few years ago despite everyone around him warning him of it. Every step of the way it seemed like a

I can easily imagine Katy Perry would take time out from her schedule to bake you a cake if we were dating.

True fact: I can't differentiate Taylor Swift from Miley Cyrus without the aid of the internet and I don't know even one of their songs. Am I broken? It's not like I even keep myself away from pop culture.

I really should get to know more about the theatre world.

I saw the Youtube still and the 'Immigrant Bond' and my first thought was Cardassian Bond working for the Obsidian Order.

I feel uncomfortable with this also. It's like, "There's institutional racism in the police force, in the employment market and everywhere else but having a black actor play a historically defined white character is a signal that we're ever so progressive."

Replacing the Stoli with generic store brand Vodka and reinvesting the difference will increase your 20-year asset yield by over 2%.

Down vote for earnest Google search and subsequent disappointment :(

I think that's especially true outside the US/UK markets. The world has a certain expectation of Bond. He may be a racist/sexist/misogynist but that's what the world feels comfortable with.

I'd never thought about a non-white, non-male Bond but the 'Legacy Bond' idea might have some mileage. We've seen Bond fornicating in every corner of the globe so maybe mixed race Bond wouldn't be altogether divergent from Fleming's original ideal. Just get Pierce Brosnan back for some paternity suit flashbacks and
