I was totally freaked out by the insanity effects in Eternal Darkness to the point that I used a guide to seek out the hidden ancient in the Cambodian temple that kept all 3 bars full. I think I would have finished it with all the full blown insanity effects eventually but I was very hesitant to do so.

I read what he said as a parody of movie trailers e.g. X made you Y, X2 made you Z etc. It seems perfectly legitimate and doesn't indicate any naivety w.r.t. the English language.

I don't know if sarcastic but there was a 1985 comedy with Tim Curry based on Clue. It was quite serviceable.

It's a cynical marketing attempt by big-prunes and big-tinned peaches.

I put full responsibility on Shion Sono!

Something happened on the way to posting a really funny pun.

My girlfriend around five years ago was Japanese and we were visiting Japan at the time and we had booked into a pretty nice hotel in Osaka with the intention of getting some quality time together. I was channel surfing and came across an interesting looking film that turned out to be Love Exposure. I spent the next 4

I thought Justin Theroux was perfect as the pompous and prickly Hollywood director who could turn on the charm when he needed. Well, turn on the charm in the final part of the film (the real part of the movie).

Octopussy for octophalluses

I always imagined that had it became a TV show, the weirdness would be toned down and apportioned in weekly bitesized chunks rather than the full on concentrated dose we got in the feature.

Look up a blog or video that (tries) to explain what's going on and it totally makes perfect sense.

The mindfuck totally ruined it for me. I was too busy trying to find meaning in all the sex to be titillated watching it the first time round.

Yes, I too disagree with the entire tone of the article. Old man says something earnest but goes against the perceived mores of the time and it becomes a contest to see who can make the cleverest put downs towards said old man.

I thought DAD was quite underrated. It's not flat out awful like say Octopussy. Both the beginning and the middle were solid if uninspired but it just seemed that the writers just couldn't come up with a satisfying denouement so they just made everything as incredible as possible. Invisible cars, space lasers, flying

It just never sit right with me that Bond would go after a realistically portrayed South American drug lord. It's like Bond was loaned out to some FBI taskforce for a week. It was also very gritty for the time. I can't recall a single lighthearted moment to ease the brooding revenge-tension of Dalton.

And who said Bond should be a normal height? MI6 could conceivably send out Warrick Davis into Russia.

I thought it was consensus that Dalton was the best bond. He was certainly closest to Fleming's portrayal of Bond.

John Cho would make a great James Bond.
