Aside from maybe Rolls Royce I can’r think any modern car has such upright, blocky styling. I bet it has insanely good visibility. Maybe this is the beginning of the end of the half-melted, stick of butter styling??

By “made up HOA laws” do you mean the legally binding contract that he willingly signed and is now in breach of?

Sounds like you let people walk all over you, I feel sorry for you man. Does playing internet tough guy help with your self esteem issues?

As part of the home buying process, the home owner signed a contract stating that he would abide by the rules of the HOA . There are about a million other areas around Huston that have zero restrictions where people can shoot guns, park tanks, blow shit up, operate chain saws at 3am, drive monster trucks through a mud

One of the greatest issues with our nation today is that people have so little respect for others. I’m sure this guy’s neighbors and the HOA have asked him nicely to please move his tank only to be met with the 5 year old’s response of “Oh yeah? Make me!” Often the only way to combat this selfishness and entitlement

Seeing as I don’t have a hulking antique war machine parked in front of my house how am I accusing him of my own failings?

Or he could keep it at an RV storage lot, rent a garage, leave it at a friend’s place in the country, etc. Plenty of places to store this thing for a reasonable fee. He is doing this to piss off his neighbors. A small, petty man compared to the heroes who originally drove these into battle.

I think it is priced in the high $30s, it would be soundly outperformed and outclassed by cars like the Chevy SS, Cadillac CTS, and even the Lexus GS350 F Sport at $50k.

It is absolutely reasonable for passengers to expect to not have suffer do to the whims of pet owners. Just because dog owners buy into hype and are immune to statistics doesn’t mean everyone else should have to accommodate their extreme sense of entitlement. Peanuts arent allowed within a 100 yards of most schools

I have looked it up, millions of pets fly every year and the death rate is a tiny fraction of that. Airlines even have special programs set up to keep pets safe and healthy...it just proves the point that many people value the health of their dogs over that of their fellow humans.

The dog should fly in the cargo hold, the cargo hold is pressurized and heated just like the cabin. You get to bring Fido along and those with allergies don’t have to suffer. Problem solved, everyone wins.

Mushed up dead bugs! They stick like crazy to my car....

Would be interesting to know who the buyers of these insane hyper cars are and what they are ultimately used for. Race teams? Weekend warrior track enthusiasts? Collectors/Investors? Commuter cars for oil sheiks?

That’s the root of the problem, people aren’t consulting with doctors, they are buying “service animal” vests on Amazon for $9.99, slapping them on their untrained, unruly mutts and proceeding to bring said mutts everywhere. Not only is it obnoxiously rude it makes life difficult for those who have have a doctor

Here’s another nerdy question that mostly pertains to domestic vehicles, do you refer to engine (or motor) displacement in metric or standard? For instance, I had a 1996 Bronco, even though 5.0 was stamped on the intake manifold I instinctively referred to the engine as a 302, which never seemed to confuse anyone.

The court order alone likely wasn’t enough, I’m guessing there was a serious intervention of some sort.  It’s like telling a heroin addict not to shoot up because it is against the law.

It’s a hoarder thing. Hoarders would rather see a rare/valuable/collectible/living thing turn to shit under their ownership than give it up to someone with the resources to save it.

It’s telling that people seem to think the Mgtow movement is some fringe group with extremist views...these beliefs are mainstream in technology and are so ingrained as to be inseparable, even if they are not always explicitly defined. In order to excel in tech you absolutely must eschew a social life, healthy living

Sure, it isn’t an exact replacement but it is one of only 2 moderately priced SUVs left (the other being the 4Runner) that is truly capable off-road and has room for a family, camping gear, bikes, etc. - which is what made the XJ so popular.

The 4 door Wrangler fills the gap left by the old XJ Cherokee...not sure why that is a bad thing?
