I can’t think of a shittier car than a grossly overpriced crossover that does nothing especially well.

The fact that I could buy both a Toyota Sienna AND a Toyota FRS for the price of a Macan would indeed suggest that people are willing to pay tens of thousands for a badge and image. A yuppie yoga mom image but an image none the less.
All I can say is I hope the Big J is your mechanic!
Brute forcing the code might not take that long depending on how long the code is. It looks like the device has a standard 10 number keypad; I was able to crack the 5 digit, 10 number code on my Grand Marquis door pad in about 45 minutes. Of course it could be that a code isn’t generated until after payment is made…
How about this: crossovers are so overpriced that you could have a new crossover OR for the same price a minivan AND an additional set of wheels and snow tires, a mountain bike, a very large TV, a puppy, a Fender Stratocaster, a fabulous vacation to Hawaii, and last but not least the smug satisfaction of not having to…
Yes and no, I think it is still the best system out there but it definitely has serious problems, kind of like a Mustang at Cars and Coffee - it is a lot of fun until it gets out of control and starts running people over. Globalization is kicking America in the scrote right now but I’m not sure Trump’s plan to put…
It has to do with the fact that Nike is publicly traded, investors want to squeeze every last fraction of a cent of profit out of the company and give exactly zero f*cks about the American workforce or anything else that doesn’t have a direct correlation to the bottom line.
Isn’t the entire thing kind of totally fake?
That sounds about right, I thought for sure I’d have to special order but ended up finding that most dealerships had a handful of manual Wranglers and Wrangler Unlimiteds on the lot.
It’s all relative I suppose; being the best looking crossover is like being the best looking woman on the Russian Olympic power lifting team.
Actually the US is in a very strong bargaining position. Look at the insane trade deficit, China’s already shaky economy would absolutely tank if a tariff were imposed. If the Chinese actually called in their debts the US could simply print a ton of money making their debt worthless. Trump likely won’t start a trade…
Agreed, I love talking to people about cars and never once has a complex, feature-ridden “infotainment” system been a positive deciding factor in a new car purchase. Since new cars are mostly boring, reliable, egg shaped appliances I guess manufactures feel they must do something to differentiate.
