In one of the most shocking and traumatizing gaming moments of our childhood, Kefka succeeded in destroying the world. Celeste woke up on a deserted island, all of her friends missing, the planet dying. "The few others who washed up here with us passed away of boredom and despair." We even failed to keep Cid alive…
Here we go again. For the ninth year in a row (since 2006!), I’ve counted up how many video games I either started…

I picked up Enslaved for $5, and while it has a really awesome intro level, I was pretty much done with it after an hour. It's not that I completed it in that time, rather that I simply lost interest; it's got some really, really cool ideas with its presentation, but it's visually aged rather poorly (it's full of…
Honorable mentions: Smash, Mario Kart, Fantasy Life, Game of Thrones episode 1, Tales of Xillia 2, probably other things I'm forgetting
2014 was a year. There were video games. Here are my favorites.
In the future, a single seed amongst rotten food hundreds of years old needs only the hope of mankind to sprout. Chrono Trigger's dystopia is presented in a brown palette that's devoid of life, with dust storms making visibility difficult. Enetrons, cylindrical chamber technology, are energy sources that, along with…
Gameplay wise, it's very basic, hack and slash with some useable spells. Somewhat like a barebones Kingdom Hearts. It's good, but lacks depth. Okay. I was gonna complain about DanganRonpa and Freedom Wars not being present, but the list is quite good. It features a few of my favorite dystopia ;)
During the course of the story, the future bloodlines consistently tell tales of death and turmoil while many of the offspring harbor feelings of abandonment leading to resentment of their parents being absent due to death. Unfortunately, possession of the Fire Emblem is no easy task — defined by classes of thieves,…

You know, I really like Zack and Wiki, but your description almost made me hate it. The idea that taking out the things that actually make point and click adventures interesting and enjoyable and replacing them with the same thing that every other video game does sounds shockingly unappealing. "Requiring reflexes and…
Toonstruck.
there is a demo playable in browser - https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo… - so yes, a pc port could definitely be done!
Where the hell is The Adventures of Willy Beamish?
I agree with you 100%. Ghost Trick's has what is easily the most gripping story I've ever experienced, and it continues to throw exciting curveballs right until the very last line of dialogue.
