Well. Not that I ever had a high opinion of her, just respected how carefully crafted her image and brand has been. But I see. it is still very highly problematic.

I have a problem with culturally appropriating black culture. I have a problem with anyone who appropriates someone else’s culture to pass of as their own original idea. Or I think I look cool in this and doing this.

Do you think that her carefully controlled brand since she went solo has been done without someone’s careful thought? It’s true, it may not be her. But I would have thought after all these years in the industry and the amount she and her “husband” work to advocate for minority groups, she ought to know better.

I would have liked to have thought better of her. But clearly she doesn’t with this video.

And has it not brought a moment of amusement for all of us as a result?

Sorry I have no words for this. I mean Chris Martin married GP so we know his sense of reality is off. But I would have assumed Beyonce would have known better.

I do not like facebook and have not used it for years. Deleted it ages ago. Twitter is nice as you can maintain anonymity if you’d like and have private communication of you wish not twittering.
