Computer virus? Broken PS3? Stolen 360? Is this the 90's? I can't think of a single relevant distribution service that gives you a single digital copy that you must store locally. I strongly recommend trying Steam. They have huge deals year round and handle all DLC and patch distribution. You can download games

I guess I never really thought about it that much as a kid, it never really bothered me. It never occurred to me that games should or even could be backward compatible. Nevertheless, I stand by my point. Nintendo wanted to use larger and faster formats with different architectures and that made it impossible for the

Sony is going with a more friendly architecture after the critical failure of the cell processor. It was theoretically a very powerful processor but a bitch to develop for. That explains why, despite the PS3's architecture being "better", the Xbox had better looking and performing multi-plat games.

That's the thing though. Sony realized that their cell processor was a pipe dream and was a nightmare for developers so they are going with a more developer friendly architecture. Unfortunately without the cell there won't be any possibility of PS3 backward compatibility.

It can play used games but you have to reactivate them online for a fee. This way Sony (and developers?) will get a cut of the profits associated with used game sales which companies like GameStop have dominated and made a killing off of.

It is too quiet, I can't hear the joke. "You must mean...*soft voice*" :(

This is insane... I don't care how confused or mixed up I am about a charity's cause, I wouldn't take back my donation. Unless I misunderstood so completely that I fundamentally disagree with the charity's motives or I gave a ridiculous sum of money in a zealous rage there would be no way I could take it back without

More like all the wants, all the time.

He calls his computer "Compy" too? I'm not alone.

I see what you're getting at but he didn't say that the other big name companies deserve to say it more than Apple. He is saying Apple is trying to drive the "PC gaming is dead, buy our products and step into the future" message into its followers subconscious.

Some people may be happy that Bioware is taking another crack at finishing their game, but just remember you are going to have pay for it, and I would recommend that you didn't.

It hit me when he tried to stop the pendulum with tears in his eyes. Definitely had to hold back some tears.

This is a tech demo for the cloth/strand physics engine, not a graphics engine. The graphics were probably something whipped quickly in-house so the physics engine could be expressed. The models and textures were completely irrelevant.

I get what he is saying though. It feels like she is taking a Halloween attitude toward it. You know, the whole sexy witch, sexy maid, sexy zombie, sexy WHATEVER; most girls use the event to show off what they've got and their theme of costume is irrelevant. And I'm getting the same vibe from this chick. She is a sexy

Have you read their patch notes? All kinds of little jokes and gags. It is very refreshing to see a company not take itself so seriously.

Because many, many people have no clue how much data they use in a month and when forced to choose between tiered levels of restrictions they will tend to pick the least restricting because they despise the potential inconvenience of a "bargain" plan.

"...top of the line laptop..."

I think Greg Zeshuk has a point. WoW has indeed established rules on how to make an MMO. Not in the areas of combat design, art design, or setting, but in the technical areas like how an auction house should work, or rather HOW as opposed to WHAT. WoW is a fantastically large social survey filled with endless data

I believe this is a Yu Gi Oh reference... neato.

Besides the fact that the creator of the project is a huge bigot as others have pointed out, their entire team is herself, another writer, and a programmer. Sure, great things come from small beginnings, but you should also note that after raising over $5000, all that has been produced is a handful of concept art
