Yep, so because of a parts cost of maybe 50-100 dollars to the dealer they have now effectively pushed away one potential new customer and one return customer down the road. Typical in what you see behind the scenes.

I worked in a few auto dealerships after college and lots of my family have their whole career. I have never seen anyone as greedy as owners of new car dealerships. They are greedy to a fault in that they care so much about every inch of profit they end up losing good employees and hiring utter garbage for people

Sounds like a fantastic car to drive. The grill however........

Over here wishing my S70 was a V70. And a manual...

Perfect winter beater. But dude, just buy a new set of Goodyear Wrangler Radials. They like mighty proper on an XJ, perform great, and will run you around 300 bucks plus install.

Yes, please make an EV good looking. Why do you think the Prius has been made fun of so much over the years by car lovers? Hint: it isn’t because it gets phenomenal fuel economy and is ridiculously reliable.

Good video. I had some death wobble in my 98 TJ mostly due to junk tires. No death wobble in any Cherokee or YJ I’ve owned (have had a lot but all stock). Oddly, I have had a ton of clapped out 94-01 Ram 1500-2500 trucks we used as plow rigs in the day. Never once experienced any death wobble in one of those trucks.

Already own one. Don’t need tows. Honestly the most reliable car I have had in the last 10 years but I am a Dodge guy so.....

60s Vettes rock and they aren’t cheap. Also, that isn’t a double pumper, that’s a single inlet Holley 4160 of some sort.

My 98 T5 s70 is reliable as hell. If my girlfriend would quit hitting potholes with my original Columbia wheels.

Yeah, mine fell on its face hard at around 80 mph. It would keep climbing forever but very slowly. It had been rode hard and put away wet and I carried on the tradition. It still looked pretty darn good but rust started to take over the bed and front/rear bumpers. I didn’t drive it much in snow but it was the POs DD.

I had an identical 99 R/T to the one in the Motor Week video above. What a damn fine truck that was. I had this truck from about 17 to 24 years old. The areas lacking were brakes and the fact that it only came with the automatic. Otherwise it was plenty quick and handled amazingly well for a truck. I believe it

The 3.6/8 speed is a great combo but a 5.7 in the Gladiator would be a towing machine. I always laugh when people mention having too much power. While the Hellcat would be ridiculous everyone should always remember you don’t actually have to use all of the pedal travel.

Wooo postal! Good work sir. Side note, if that thing did have a charcoal canister on it make sure you have A) a vent line to somewhere or B) a vented gas cap. A small amount of vacuum can render the fuel pump useless at drawing the go go juice into the fuel mixer.

Same, I had the same childhood dentist up until he sold his practice. He did my braces and all dental care (my buddies mom was one of the hygienists). New guy took over when I was about 21 and bam I needed a filling. I am 21 drink a lot and generally don’t take that good of care of my teeth “yeah he’s probably on to

I am an hour or so away from any point of your trip through Indiana. I doubt I would be much help at that distance but if you get 100% desperate I might be able to make it happen. Here’s to the little Jeep ticking like a fine timepiece.

Good work, lapping is something very little people on earth still understand/can do. I would have drilled in this situation too. Side note: even on fresh engines that I build (if the machine shop has done the valve job). I will toss some compressed air into the head with a compression test hose and listen to the

Good job DT. My biggest offenses are not wearing glasses and not wearing protective gloves. My knuckles tell a storied tale. I always wear glasses using rotary tools and I love wearing ear muffs (loss of hearing when old runs deep in my family). I also don’t fuck around with breathing in anything besides filtered air.

I especially dig the plaid interior offerings VW has (or had?). Singer does plaid very well. Sadly, even a non Singer 911 is now beyond my financial reach. Guess I will have to relive my high school 911T days in another life.

Interiors have gotten so bland over the years. If anyone offers a color its usually only a red seats add on. While I like red seats more creative interior options would rock. The lowest of the low for interiors was probably late 90s-mid 2000s. Recent ones are much nicer in terms of materials but colors seem to be
