Congrats, that thing is awesome. My Dad had a rust free 86 long bed auto 2wd for his shop service truck. My brother had an extra rusty 88 long bed 4x4 stick about 5 years ago. My buddies dad back home has a mint 89 30k mile 4x4 short bed “sport truck” I would kill for but it won’t ever get let into the wild.

No

If by awesome you mean awful. You actually had to heat and bend I beams if they were bent out of spec to achieve proper camber.

Yep, they can merge over into the left lane with the precision and speed of an F1 car but then hang in the left lane until they are several truck lengths in front of the car they just passed and merge back over as slowly as possible.

This is not a plausible way to adjust your mirrors if you tow trailers. My head will actually turn left and right so I have a really easy time checking my left and right blind spots. You need to know where the wheels of your trailer are all the time and see the trailer in your mirrors to know when you have moved far

Yes please. That is the major factor that is keeping me from buying a Challenger at the moment. I love my dad’s 10 R/T. Sounds and drives great but doesn’t feel much smaller or lighter than my truck. Now, if they can do a similarly priced smaller/better handling car with a 6 speed and normal 5.7 that weighs in at

Most bias ply tires had pretty sticky compounds especially when heated up with a burnout. Where they lack was deflection in cornering and small tread widths. Also, they grab ruts and move the car all over a seemingly straight road but damnit they look cool.

That always bothered me about the Charger. A few other muscle cars were offered as 4 door sedans. The Charger (even in the 80s) was never offered as anything other than a 2 door vehicle. Now, I do like the SRT/RT/Scatpack Chargers but common. Dart was originally a cheap econobox car they added performance packages to

Terrible ability to maintain a consistent speed while on the highway? Randomly hitting the brakes when there is no reason to? Accelerating out of nowhere on the highway? All things I see every day on my 5 mile highway run..... The list goes on.

Most intelligent/skilled drivers would rather use both hands and try to avoid a wreck at all costs rather than express their displeasure via a horn.

I would totally be on board with some sort of gasoline hybrid truck as my next tow rig. Electric motors are better suited for towing (see locomotives). I would also enjoy being able to charge over night and drive to work on battery only. Would also enjoy 40+ mpg highway on long road trips.

Yay, more ugly electric cars. Also, the market seems pretty hot for sedans right now.......

He was more concerned with laying on the horn than mashing on the brakes or swerving to avoid the wreck. Clearly it was the Morgan drivers fault but I always say, if you have time to lay on the horn the wreck (or avoided wreck) wasn’t close enough.

I forgot how much I missed having a smaller car for city and regular day to day activities. I picked up a dog hauler/DD 00 Cherokee this fall. It’s fantastically maneuverable in traffic and parking in the city. Although, I travel on the weekends which requires towing 3000-4000 LBS and a truck bed full of ski equipment

Good job Dude. Looks like slow devil may turn into a trusty (but rusty) old friend!

Ha, I was considering a GMC Sierra for the reliability ratings etc. I kept noticing how rusty the frames were on 1-2 year old trucks I was looking at. I literally could scrape the frame coating off of to bare metal with my fingernail. After some research, it turns out GM has been coating the frames of their body on

What in the actual fuck were they thinking. My buddy has a wonderfully maintained S4 Avant manual and it clatters at start up. First off, look at the design of the chain cluster fuck. Secondly, hey lets put it on the rear of the engine.

Exactly, EVs all look like garbage besides Tesla. If a 500 was a good looking car I would actually want to be seen in you bet your ass I would be headed to the auction to pick up an almost new one for 4000 bucks.

David, I bought a new set of Wrangler Radials at Discount Tire recently for right at 300 bucks. (235/75-15) You can surely bolt those on to your DD after the trip to get your money out of them. 300 is short cash for a set of rubber.

That is a cool color. Too bad the car was so ugly. I had a nice 73 914 for a summer. My friend and I referred to them as truck Porsches. They look like a small El Camino with a bed cover.
