It’s nowhere near as joke dense as Ragnarok is. The jokes all land well, so you remember them, but they’re sparing.

It probably wouldn’t make a lot of sense to make a movie about the African nation of Wakanda with all white people.

This movie is becoming a cultural touchstone. I can’t believe the sheer energy (good and bad) this is generating. But I fucking love it nonetheless.

I liked GoW for what it was but we had 6 of those games with the same mechanics... I’d say its about time for something new! There’d have been no point to a new GoW game if the franchise were to remain the same.

Yeah, seeing that comment and finding out who they cast, it’s kind of striking how they went with the most prominent young black guy as if it were close enough, as I was under the impression that Glover’s shtick was awkwardness

Glover looks a lot like a younger Lando, I think. And he is an actor, so he should be able to play something other than awkwardness.
