Huh. I’ve never heard a recovering alcoholic refer to themselves as a “functioning alcoholic.” Only “alcoholic” or “recovering alcoholic.” Perhaps its a regional thing? (Also recovering alcoholic, here.)

So, did you find the Larry David joke offensive because it wasn’t funny, or was it not funny because it was offensive?
Ditto. I always plan on 100%-ing everything, but then after a while I just get sort of done with it.
I read the spoiler-y section in the review, and no, it doesn’t seem to be necessary or worthwhile. I won’t go into any details, but the reviewer described it as “all stick and no carrot”. So pretty similar to BotW, it seems.
Can we just demolish the rest of Camden along with it?
Those transitions! Or lack thereof. I thought my game glitched. I listened to Kind Funny Game’s podcast the other day, and one of the guys on there said he restarted his game because he thought he accidentally hit a button that ended the cutscene haha. The only thing I can think of is that the developers wanted to let…
Totally. It does start off really rough, though (not only is the narrative confusing at first, but Siwa, the opening section, is dull as hell; characters later in the game joke about it being a shit hole, and they’re absolutely correct). However, the more quests I did outside of Siwa, the more the game grew on me. The…
One time I borrowed a boat, and then accidentally slammed it into the shoreline. It promptly broke to pieces, and the boat’s owner jumped onto land, screaming in terror and, presumably, shock and despair that his boat had been destroyed in the blink of an eye. I legitimately felt awful.
I think that’s a Bambismomburger.
Absolutely. Without it, teenagers/young people are just figuring it out on their own, and that can get dicey.
Huh. I’ve got it horizontal, in a tv stand. Wonder if that makes a difference.
Damn dude. I might have to do it then. Thanks!
PS4. I don’t remember my PS3 sounding nearly like that.
Haha, no it’s fine. I’m terrified of opening up a console. I’m not adept with these things.
I planned on playing Golf Story slowly over the course of a couple weeks until AC:O and Odyssey consume my life for the next however long. I beat it in three days haha. That’s how I got on Stardew Valley.
I think booting it up is actually part of it. It takes a little while from the time I turn on my PS4 till the time I’m actually playing, but Switch games are just..right there. I grab it and go.
Bet that little bastard sounds like a jet engine, too.
This is cool to hear. I don’t think I’d have touched Golf Story or Stardew Valley had they not been released on the Switch, and both games are so good. I do think the Switch adds a certain enjoyment factor too. I can’t quite explain it, but something about that console just feels so good to play. Even with my TV right…
Golf Story! It’s so good! I’d planned on not gaming too much till AC: Origins and Mario Odyssey consume my soul in a couple weeks (not sure which will be first, but they will be back to back). Figured I’d take some time, focus on a few things I’ve been meaning to get done lately. But then fucking Golf Story comes…
Dude, those fucking discs.
