Well the tracks are remixed by popular DJs and some of the existing tracks could have additional music or vocals added in by popular artists. Even if it is just for one song, hiring all those professional musicians do cost a pretty penny. In addition to an original story, they gotta make their money back somehow.
Well the original Persona games and some of the Shin Megami Tensei titles were very similar to Etrian Odyssey so it felt like it was a return to form. But if you don’t find that kind of gameplay fun then its doubtful adding a Persona coating could make it better for you.
Man, PQ was a surprise. I got what I wanted with it, a fan-service game with lots of nods to both games and a more reasonably paced Etrian Odyssey, but towards the end it just got heart-wrenching. I almost cried at certain points.
The Persona games have always been known to have a good soundtrack and Atlus takes advantage of this. If this is anything like Persona 4 Dancing All Night, then it will have a canonical storyline that isn’t too serious.
