Just because we know why doesn’t mean that this isn’t both stupid and evil.

The problem with taking risks is that if your risk doesn’t pay off, a character is dead and now you have to restart the map. (and if your risks always pay off, then they’re not really risks)  A high-level pegasus knight is still going to get slaughtered if they take attacks from multiple archers in one round.

I think the permadeath, counter attacks, and the general viability of tanks are more significants factor than being outnumbered. For example, in the Utawarerumono games, you’re always outnumbered — but (in the hard stages) even your “tanks” can’t take more than two or three hits, so if you let the enemies bunch up and

By the time you reach the point in the game where you can teach Galeforce to multiple units, you’re pretty far in the game.  It’s an option, but it’s a very specific late-game strategy.

I’ll admit I’m not an FE expert — I’ve only played Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Awakening, and Fates — but that’s the optimal strategy for most of the game in all of the ones I’ve played. Put your high DEF/RES units up front and let the enemies slam themselves against them and get murdered. Your other units are

So I haven’t really paid close attention to this one, but is it still as defensively-oriented as previous FE games?  I’ve found that I don’t really like strategy games that much where the ideal strategy is just to set up a defensive line and let the enemies throw themselves against you until they’re dead.

In most games, the primary method of input for your left hand is the analog stick, for moving your character or a cursor; the d-pad is usually used for navigating menus. The primary method of input for your right hand is the face buttons, and the right analog stick is usually just used for rotating the camera. In

Personally, I generally like LiA. This one isn’t one of their best, but I like them more often than not.

Because humor is subjective and there are many people who like it.  Sorry that you’re not one of them.

So, as far as I can tell, the deal here is: legit site (Fakku) buys out pirate site (Hentai Haven), kicks out the old staff, and leaves the site up even though they’re not getting anything from it. The old staff then has regrets and feels like they got a bad deal, so they’re throwing a fit. Now HH’s fans are sending

It does seem a bit odd, although from what I’ve personally seen, it’s incredibly rare for new experiences and ideas to cause people to become more conservative.  Even outside video games, people who do a lot of traveling or spend a lot of time working with people in different classes almost universally become more

It took me a long time to figure out what the joke even was because I was fixated on why you would eat a burger at a barbecue joint.  I had to remember that there are people for whom the word “barbecue” just means “grill” or “cookout.”

I chafed against the way the game set out to recapture the feeling Symphony gave players over two decades ago without offering anything new.

Crystalis is definitely my favorite game on the NES.  It’s a shame it’s never received a proper remake or any sequels.

Only in the comments section on a blog is a phone call “shady.”

That’s not false.  Intellectual property that you have intentionally kept secret and not shared outside of the company is a trade secret, regardless of how simple you think it is.

What *should* Nintendo do about people who leak trade secrets?

No, that’s not quite right.
