We do at that. Marijuana laws are a good example. Cutting federal funding is how we got the 55 mph laws passed in every state, which was a defacto national law that was only technically a state affair.
State sovereignty is a quaint notion that has almost no real application. The federal government even dictates the issuance standards for state drivers’ licenses (REAL ID Act 2005). All state laws are subordinate to any and every federal rule, regulation, and law.
Tyranny of the Majority refers to subjugating the rights of the minority through majority rule. I am familiar with the concept and it doesn’t apply when selecting a leader on a national scale.

Some of us are first-world white people.
Also acceptable. Step’n’Fetch, Man Friday, Chris Christie...all of those work.
This strike me as quite complicated and I’m not here to shovel blame onto this woman.
Women suffering is the point of the anti-abortion movement. You don’t think they actually care about children, do you? Nah. Taking care of folks who can’t take care of themselves is bleeding heart liberal stuff.
This buffoon is going to be the puppet of Kusher, Pence, Bannon and Preibus.
I think it was reported that Romney had hundreds of pages of policy positions and procedures written and ready to go in case he won - and that is normal.
Don’t remind me. I’m still pissed about that.
I am unfamiliar with advocacy groups. Sorry.
With all the anti-Trump articles here it’s refreshing to see one allows his supporters voice to be heard.
I prefer the title manservant.
I agree. You’re really writing to a staffer, so if you know which one should get your letter, then it’s better to direct it to that person.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, gets between a congressman and his fundraising calls.
