I had never heard of Carnage Heart before nor did I know it was part of a series. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

Also, I’m there with you on Monster Rancher. I would have included Vib Ribbon in my list had it not been for the lack of an actual CD drive.

Oh dude and I just thought of Spice World. That’s such a

Thanks Tim! I am also a firm believer in game compilations needing to meet a certain “cry-teria”. :) It’ll be interesting to see what games Microsoft chooses if they follow suit with their own “classic” console.

Also, I agree with you on Destruction Derby 2 feeling more finished. The races in the original game felt lik

Ideally, both Bushido Blade 1 and 2 would be included. They both have their own flavor, and I don’t really want to choose one over the other.

Also, you don’t have bad taste for liking Destruction Derby. There really aren’t many other games that are comparable to it. I’m surprised to hear you prefer the sequel, though.

Based on my own experience, it’s not that design flaws and stability issues go unnoticed or unreported. It’s that they’re either too risky, too expensive, or too time-consuming to fix (right now (or in the future.))

Game development is a finicky and experimental process with a lot of moving parts. You need to have a

Nice.  Must have been the same person that thought forcing the player to die at the end of Fallout 3 was a good idea.

While I am happy Bethesda has opted for a more communicative stance, Fallout 76 has such a long way to go and I can only imagine the hell all of their employees are going through and will continue to go through for some time.

I honestly feel as if the whole experience needs to be improved. Here’s what I mean:

Judging from my own personal experience, it’s not that design flaws aren’t noticed or go unreported. They just tend to go unfixed because it’s too much work or too risky to change at that point. It’s sort of a catch-22. People can’t really give feedback until the product / feature is mostly working but by then it may

Is anyone else having difficulty finding games on clearance at major retailers? It seems like nothing new ever drops below $20 now.

For instance, I’ve spent two years eyeing the same copies of Captain Toad and Yoshi’s Woolly World for the Wii U and they’re still full price even after being marked as “clearance”.

I lived in northern VA for several years without realizing eStarland was located there. I probably missed out on some great opportunities.

That said, I’ve found a few other places like it elsewhere. There’s McKay’s in Tennessee and North Carolina and Bookmans in Arizona. Neither place has an online store but you can

I have mixed feelings on eStarland. On one hand, it’s awesome that a store like that exists and that they are able to ship orders. On the other hand, their online prices are driven by the number of search requests each game receives so they tend to be more expensive on the hard-to-find stuff. They’ve also messed up my

Unless Star Fox 2 is made legally available elsewhere, I will probably end up buying a SNES Classic too.

Yeah, I’m kind of with you there on that. All of the footage I’ve seen and everything I’ve read seems to indicate Fallout 76 is more of an “Early Access” multiplayer game. I feel like the initial asking price should have been less or the release should have been postponed until more content had been fleshed out.

I suspect the engine powering the Kirby games is really powerful and well-designed. HAL puts out a new Kirby game nearly every year and each one has numerous game modes with different mechanics. They’re also relatively bug-free from my experience.

The only tip I can offer you is to refrain from playing a portable system while tired and laying down. I’ve woken up to a PSP smashing my nose. It was not pleasant.

That’s a really good tip!  That’d probably freak me too.

Does Maxima also include all of the DLC released for the original game?

I understand wanting to shut down the proxy server and cease distribution of the app but arresting the people involved seems a bit... extreme?  I don’t understand how a country that turns a blind eye to artists selling fan comics would take issue with people developing and selling cheat apps.

On the subject of niche collecting, I became weirdly obsessed with Maxis around 2000. This eventually led to me getting into a bidding war on Ebay over a copy of Sim Health. I still can’t believe I paid $50 for two floppies but hey, at least it’s complete in box.

Oh man, you’re taking me back to my college years!

I used to live near Scottsdale, Arizona and there was an amazing store there named Pop the Soda shop. They imported non-alcoholic beverages from all over the world. I went there every week for several years, buying 6 bottles at a time, and always finding something

I’m really curious to know what kind of budget AtGames operates with. They have managed to stay in business for years but almost every product they release is sub-par in some form or another.

I understand that they’re releasing their products at a lower price point than most clone and emulation consoles but come on.
