Or maybe because River takes the time to learn how to use them properly? Remember, River can fly the TARDIS much better than the Doctor. So, naturally, River is capable of using the Vortex Manipulator efficiently, probably even better than Jack.

Maybe you guys could add a couple more videos to show off the device. The single video on the site (which could have been larger) doesn't provide adequate details to the device. I'm not even sure how the IR remote would work if the device is at the back of an HDTV... A lot of detail still seems to be behind the

I've seen the video on their site, but curiously, exactly how do I control this without the (seemingly) optional pocket keyboard with a touchpad? Does it work with the tv's remote and transfer control to the device via HDMI? I mean, really, the separate keyboard is just $10 less than the actual stick...

Where'd you get that? If it can run regular Windows, I'm sure it can run any *nix distros just fine... If not, a new kernel or driver is abound to make that happen...

I have the WDTV and I'm happy with it. I didn't need the expansive selection both Boxee and Roku has, and pretty much use the WDTV for streaming content over the network (and a few other chores, like Netflix, viewing picture, and connecting a digital camera)

I was thinking of the same thing, I didn't really think PRESTO cards would have such functionality since they have a complex payment system, and that you can reload the card online (unlike the cards being exploited in the post, they're like one time use cards, of sorts)... But I'll have to double check, nothing's more

You can use Tag Info app to check exactly what the contacts of the card is (which is what I'm gonna do) and if it has programmable bits and stuff....

The TTC (Toronto Transit Comission) has started implementing the unified GTA (Greater Toronto Area) payment system they call PRESTO that can be used within and beyond the TTC's coverage (includes GO, YRT, etc) and since they use contact-less cards I assume they run using NFC... The payment system is much more complex

Not bad! I might actually buy it for my mom.... How much is it?

I don't know how my comment became a "smug" comment... And I don't know what facts I'm not getting right... Enlighten me.

When I read things like this... Makes me realize the reason why we are so slow in progressing towards a better future....

Excuse me, but Apple is using an already existing Mapping technology/service that existed even before Google Maps existed.... see: Apple and TomTom

I used streetview if the "unknown" location I am going to has it... makes it easier to spot the building you need to get to, or something like that.

No longer supported by Adobe (will not make updates, will not appear on Play Store, etc etc) but you can still sideload the apk it and it will work fine.

That RT Tab, is quite expensive... But the Atom powered one, is on a fairly good pricing spot.

So, Google acquiring Nik maker of Snapseed.... I wonder what'll they do with Snapseed? Make grown into a Photovine?

Actually,

Snapseed???????? What? They'll grow it up and call it "Photovine"

Connectivity?

I'm surprised no one has quoted stuff from this website, aside from me....
