I am very glad Eccleston was not involved, the resurgence of Dr Who is *despite* him, not because of him. Yes he had a few good bits, but the best moments of that season involved Rose & Jack Harkness.

Allow me to introduce you to Big Finish. They have canon stories for all living past Doctors, including Eight. He has around 15 years of stories now, starting from his earliest days all the way to Night of the Doctor. You get real character development, amazing companions (better versions of Rose and Donna,

I want, like, five seasons of the doctor we got to see in Night of the Doctor. That short totally redeems the crappy TV movie that introduced him.

He had a lot of disagreements with the showrunners, apparently. A big part of it was he wanted to move the doctor away from the RP Accent.

So was Paul McGann going to still be the one who ended the Time War then?

It would have been great to have him back for the episode, and please don’ think I am disparaging John Hurt in any way, but why was the war Doctor needed? McCann has pretty much always been down to bring back 8 and he has aged enough to see like his Doctor had seen some stuff, man. Has anyone read a reason from anyone

IIRC a lot of people in the crew were being shafted and Chris wanted BBC to fix that, and when they didn’t he walked away.

Meanwhile, in Australia:

Let’s not forget... It’s Detroit. The icy weather is only part of the issue. Industry-friendly truck regulations allow a maximum weight per axle (and trucks with 10-12 axles) lead to hilariously over-loaded (yet legal) vehicles that also do a number on the roads.

I don’t know anything about this three-wheel, dually work truck, but ever since my brother and I spotted it in Taiwan in December, I’ve been struggling to get the bird-like machine out of my head. It’s just amazing.

I know exactly what you’re talking about, I grew up around the corner from a place just like that. Whatever I needed, one phone call and half the time the guy I talked to would say something like, “you don’t want that. I’ll get you the right thing.” They were worth their weight in gold.

Try being a female gun owner. My wife hunts and buying ammo at the local Walmart come deer season is painful for her.

To be fair, I generally do ask this when someone comes in having self diagnosed something. I don’t like selling people stuff they don’t actually need.

This. This is probably the worst experience I’ve had/seen. My wife goes into a store and asks for something and they start asking her if she’s sure that’s what she needs.

Or worse, make, model, year, and I GAVE THEM THE PART NUMBER!

O’Reilly’s is the fucking worst. I needed a new oil pan drain plug gasket for my Caravan, and it took three different employees bouncing back and forth between the computer and the stock room for them to find one, and it still ended up being the wrong size.

Running a pick up for a auto shop I worked for, they asked me if I was sure I knew what I was asking about. For spark plugs. Auto parts stores are not kind to women in mechanics.

David is a good man, a better man then most... that is good Jeep Karma right there.

Honest to god if this was offered in the US I’d buy it cash tomorrow. My work commute is only 10 miles round trip, all side streets. I’d buy this thing for commuting and then buy something funner for weekend jaunts.
