Zero downside when commuting in Norther NJ Monday - Friday.

I got one of these packages (free Volt book and Volt branded Flip camera) with my Volt lease. Thought it was a nice touch, except for the fact that the Flip camera is a relic of the past and broke within the first hour of use. It has since been replaced by GM, they are so nice to us Volt owners, free cars, free

Indeed. It's also known as the 959 rule, as that was the first cars that was granted an exception - or one of the first, so don't quote me on that.

FYI - A lot of the suggestions below are already eligible for importation for show and display. Cars like the 959, XJ22 and RS200 can be legally imported into the states. See [www.nhtsa.gov] for the full list of eligible cars. This link also includes a list of ineligible cars, including sadly the Figaro and M6.

Love the Volvo grill down low

Funny back in the day I used to see one running around in Northern Jersey.

Volvo 480 - Volvo + pop-up headlamps = win.

Good, good list - Tucker, 959, DS, F1, and Ro80 are all personal favorites.

Yo estoy.

Z Footnote. The 1988 Buick Reatta, which featured as standard equipment a touchscreen computer as the primary control mechanism for the radio, climate control, and trip computer. Also the first modern artisanal car, as it was crafted in small numbers by-hand, using old world techniques.

1960s - NSU Ro80. Wankel rotary engine, front-wheel drive, three-speed semi-automatic transmission, and it still looks modern.

Nice. I drive the Volt a little more aggressive than I probably should. Its always in sport and I am always downshifting between L and D.

In all seriousness the Volt is eerily quiet inside, part of it is the electric engine, as it basically makes no sound, and part of it is build quality.

Because TIVO radio rules.

See my note below.

Indeed. Winter has actually brought that number down. Over the summer I was in the 140s.

I disagree and I'll do my best to explain. But it really depends on what you are comparing it to and what you value in a car.

Fight the Power. This was one of the many reasons I got a Volt for my weekly commute. Money spent on fuel now goes to other pursuits, like vintage Lancia Fulvias.
