@tonyola: Ditto , I drive daily in New York City traffic with a six-speed Volvo s40. I have driven a manual in the city from the day I could first drive, it is now second nature. You learn to leave a little more space, stay in gear a little longer, etc. You can actually drive in traffic v. letting your slush box

@joelja: The 3rd gen Taurus platform was never shared with Jag, just FWD Ford/Lincoln/Mercury. You're thinking of the Ford platform shared with the Lincoln LS and Ford Thunderbird. Or the x-type/mondeo deal. Still not a good idea but different cars, different platforms.

Also love the Mitsubishi Pajero - i.e. the wanker.
