I dearly love the Shibs and would have been screaming and crying if they won, but I don’t know if I would go so far as to say they got robbed.

I thought Virtue/Moir and Papadakis/Cizeron had more difficult programs (or at least programs with higher maximum score), didn’t they?

1) Nathan wasn’t 100% clean. He put his hand down on one jump and underrotated another.

They skated like only Yuzuru Hanyu can, since he has three of those (216.07; 219.48; 223.20)

I bought a dress for a wedding five years ago and then it was too cold to wear it, so I put it away for “later”. “Later” became “my own wedding” in my mind, so it has been hanging in the closet ever since. Thank you for sharing this; I wasn’t even aware that I felt a little defensive about not wanting any of the

That’s my dream wedding: just the two of us, maybe even witnesses we will never see again, like the hotel manager and the receptionist. No drama, no expectations other than our own, and in all likelihood clothes that we can wear again. Yeah, someday. We’re both very relaxed about it. We’ll know when the time feels

That sounds like the perfect day! And avoidance of family drama is the best wedding present to give yourself :).

I’m another positive experience in that my husband and I got married after 14 years together (we got together when we were pretty young) and 4 years in to married life, nothing has really changed. We also had combined finances for quite some time and lived together from basically the beginning, so I think that helped.

Ugh, I didn’t realize Kevin Sorbo sucked. But then, I haven’t thought much about him in a few decades.

Exactly! Like I’m sorry, Adam skated a safe program very well, no doubt about it. But Patrick skated a much more challenging program with beauty, artistry and grace, and a few stumbles here and there, but he completed his rotations which were more difficult than Adams. Adam underrotated a triple and people think he

It’s like they think we’re still in 2002. The new judging system has been in place for 14 years and is way more exacting. Skating is more than just jumps. They don’t realize that skating skills, speed, quality of edge, etc. are also being judged. Plus, of course the quad. Rippon’s a great skater but he was objectively

Adam skated so well, and I felt that his PCS (artistic/performance) score should’ve been a point or two higher. But you can’t underrotate your triple Lutz when you don’t have a quad in your program. If the Lutz had been all the way around, he would’ve beaten Kolyada.

I guess it’s fitting that I’m reading this on the can.

First and foremost, I am here for André Holland.

It required a study, for sure. The more data there is, the better. It’s entirely too easy for people to ignore institutionalized racism, so if you just said that was the issue, you’d get people jumping in talking about how it’s because soul food has more cholesterol or someshit. Data, REAL data, matters.

I agree that it’s blindingly obvious and frustrating, but sometimes these studies are what finally hits the radar for politicians. I’m not naive and expect no great immediate change, but this study gives us something definitive to send to our reps.

I first read “fans” as “friends” and thought, yeah, that fits. My husband was friends with someone in college (they are 48 now) and when he looked him up on Facebook, every photo was of the dude still hanging out with the same age range of people when last they saw each other, just out of college. It was bizarre.

But if he’s been raptured, then he literally ghosted you.

My little gray cells tell me you are correct.

Peter Ustinov gets an honorary mention.
