The real question is, how much is the damage, and what is her insurance coverage? If she is on a fixed income and has minimal insurance coverage.....I hope Corvette guy has Underinsured motorist coverage...

I totally agree, it seems logical to take the quick sale and knocking off $600 doesn’t seem like the end of the world, especially if you get to make a sale....but dealers want you to finance through them so they get a piece of the pie for shopping you around to lenders. The actual dealer isn’t financing you, the

Paying in cash will not automatically get you a lower price, they WANT you to finance (through them, of course!). It will take some work, but find a dealer that will give you a OTD price, and pit the local dealers against one another. Don’t mention paying cash, don’t mention no trade in, just out the door price.

I’ve been going to ALMS/IMSA events since 2000, I’ve seen retired F1/Trans Am/Can Am/NASCAR run at historic events and they all have distinct ear shattering (in a good way)noise. All that said, seeing the glass windows on the suites behind the start line at an NHRA event flex and shake from the pressure waves of Top

I would say yes, along with the 3 point belt system we use in road cars they are safer...as long as they don’t go off in a non-accident scenario and spray the driver with shrapnel (like the Takata inflators).

No.

Don’t forget the zip ties around the drive shaft!

Strangely, yes. The Tire actually does hang from the top where the bead meets the wheel. Makes you think even harder about going for that crazy stretch all the kids want nowadays....

I always loved the big fender flares and throaty V8 in the GT3 version. The old RLL car seems to be touring around with BMW along with their other historic cars. I’ve seen it at The Mitty, Petit Le Mans and most recently Daytona. BMW always brings some really cool stuff to show off.

Road Atlanta is the best! We usually camp out from Wednesday-Sunday. Watching practice and being in the paddock during the week is awesome when there are few people around. I love the opportunity to shoot the teams setting up the cars and preparing for the weekend.

I noticed the bag check at the infield side of the fan zone, as they told me to finish my beer before we could enter. We went in the fan zone from the garage side and there was no check at all.... There seemed to be different interpretations of the rules everywhere you went inside Daytona...

Not exactly...I didn’t carry a ladder in, just a folding step stool. Best $10 ever spent! Fortunately, I’m 6'3 so I only needed about another 3-4 inches to clear most of the fencing. The step stool also came in handy shooting around the garages, as I didn’t have to necessarily be right in front to get a clear shot.

Insane....

Thanks!

I really liked the shade of blue this 911 is. My brother and I ended up on top of TRG’s garage Saturday morning while they had it out on display. I ended up getting pretty lucky shooting it by the Ferris wheel later on too.

The amount of room where the engine used to sit is actually a good amount of space...like proper trunk size.

This, so much! I was in the infield taking pictures, so Jalopnik helped fill in many gaps as to why there was a caution. The PA system is nice, but you can’t always hear it when the pack is rolling by.

A few more, my phone was being dumb and wouldn’t attach these in the same post as the other pictures.

Here are a few I took while wandering the garages on Friday.
