I drove that highway in February one time, setting out from Edmonton after a morning meeting, about an hour into what would become a full-on blizzard. My father was a long-haul truck driver long ago, and even then that road was harrowing.  It was usually the conclusion of a haul from Toronto to Edmonton, and he has some stories.  They all seem to involve a millon car pile up.

I’d say this style house is more the “push rod V8" of houses - it’s the cheapest way to get the most house (displacement) in the smallest physical space possible, so that you can shove that puppy anywhere. It fits just fine on a fifth acre lot (Corvette) but you can readily put one on2 acres (Silverado).

That’s the face of a man who has no idea how lucky he is and strikes me as someone who will be right back out there as soon as he can.
