My kid is in college and the only used car his old man will buy him is a Honda. All of my Hondas have passed 200k miles with no mechanical problems at all. Just change the fluids and replace tires & brakes as needed.

I keep trying to scroll past this picture but I can’t. I see a slight lift, some balloon tires and a Morgan toggleswitch interior. I need a Fordson intervention
I’ll buy one!
That thing is sweet
Except this is a 9000 pound behemoth that is just as fast an an overpowered sports car. Probably faster. Basic physics apply here.
The sheer cliff face that is the front means that they should be mandated to have school bus mirrors installed:
I don’t hate it, and I’d much rather see one of these than a diesel F-350. But I’d really rather the huge battery this thing has be used to build three more sensible vehicles. Batteries are the big constraint in developing more affordable (and just plain more) EVs.
“An overpowered sports car driven by a lunatic is going to be just as deadly on the streets if it hits a kid or pedestrian,”
As much as I often complain about the tactics of the rich in avoiding and at times outright evading taxes with impunity I am completely with the boat owner here.
Horseshit. Even in not at all flat Maine it is a rare occasion that I have to hold the brake at a stop. And even then, it’s a very light touch vs. having to keep the creep at bay.
Ha, I had a 84 civic wagon in high school. I got it on 2 wheels taking a curve too fast. It would max out at like 75 mph which is good because if it went any faster I wouldn’t be here today.
Thank you!
I used to love Ferraris, but I’m not sure there’s much of anything much past the old man’s death that I find inspiring and it’s been really dry since they crawled up their own ass and dumped Pininfarina. F355, maybe, and I liked the Maranello until I saw a few of them and started to find them to be too predictable and…
I was one of those people. My ex has a 2012 Fit that was my suggestion and we loved that car. I always shat on the HR-V for being a compromised Fit. Then my parents leased one for my sister and we all loved the little thing. So much so that they replaced it with another, and my new fiancée and I just dumped her higher…
What’s with the purity tests?
Given that I can’t even afford a photograph of one, Ferraris have always been a “cool to look at” thing, but never something I actually get excited about.
That scorn you’re heaping on a perfectly competent compact car may make for satisfying copy, but it’s totally besides the point. Yes, it’s beige, just like a Corolla or a Civic or a Camry. And it’s functional, doing what the people who buy it want it to do. Crossovers are basic transportation with a little extra…
I hope Dorothy got off the ground ok.
I see you are cultured
