RTS bots have always fascinated me. I wonder how difficult it would be to try for a machine learning approach rather than just straight-up programming.

Oh, cloning'll do all sorts of weird stuff to relationships. Obviously there's gender swapping yourself, but what about your best friend? What about you and your non-incestuous spouse cloning yourselves and raising the clones as children? Would what would become of their relationship? A parent who's spouse dies

Maybe I'm misunderstanding things, but of 2,000 reported rapes, only 23 produced warrants and 14 resulted in conviction? That's a stupendously low percentage... Is it just really hard to find the identities of the rapists or is there a high rate of false reporting?

It's not a big deal, just a cool thing some people made that also is raising a fair bit of money for charity.

As someone who experienced this same problem (it was sunflower seed shells that did it to me), I assure you, you become OBSESSED with figuring out what is stopping natural bodily functions and you will stop at nothing to fix it. Exploratory digging is totally a thing when you're that desperate. As is (in the

This sort of thing happened to me, though in my case, it was sunflower seed shells that did it. Same blockage problem and same explosive end. In my case, it was the fourth enema that finally got them out. Also, the pain of those shards stabbing your colon is unlike any other pain a human can experience.

I don't think there's anything fundamentally wrong with MTX as a business model, though I think a lot of implementations of it are terrible. League's model where Riot's profit is determined pretty much just by skins is something I'm totally fine with. Free to play, pay to look cool is something I don't mind.

Season 1: they... aren't huge fans of each other on account of Mako

It sounds like future creep to me. That said, when you make announcements of electric cars soon, people laugh and move on. If you make a claim for what will exist in two years, people listen a lot more. Even if you're a year late, it doesn't matter because you were still soon enough that you drastically beat everyone

I have very little desire to play this game. I have a very great desire to play with the character creator...

Oh my gosh... I just started playing this. I love how self-aware the exposition is. This is fantastic.

So long as you have friends to play with, you'll enjoy it.

By 2050? No, or at least it won't be mainstream by then. By 2100? Yes. I think it's inevitable that we'll do away with connecting sex to reproduction, but not in a mere 35 years.

Overwatch's tone looked to be somewhere between Pixar, TF2, and Portal.

Watched the first episode... holy crap... you watch a city get nuked right off the bat. You watch the people get turned to ash... Dang...

I can understand that. But different people enjoy different things. Personally, I enjoy making games and debating balance on forums more than playing them. To each his own I suppose.

What specifically don't you get about it?

I don't watch him, but I do watch some professional league matches. Esports in general is a lot like your usual sports, only with a video game instead of football/basketball/soccer/other. You've got players, you've got strategies, you've got plays, you've got announcers, you've got an analyst desk, etc.

Somehow I get the feeling that "increases survival rate of cardiac arrest by 900%" may be the sort of thing the lubricate the legal process for these things...

If I write a fictional book about Obama in which he is a Nigerian prince that is not a parody but still clearly fictional, shouldn't I be allowed to? Public figures are allowed to be featured in fiction. A president acting and sounding much like Bush was featured on NCIS. Shouldn't that be allowed?
