well, except that you'll be right by the explosion, so while warp missiles are actually a fantastic idea, using your own "wake" isn't such a good one.

Perhaps a small perturbation in the warp field would allow a small amount of the collected mass over the course of the journey to be funneled into a reactor at relatively reasonable speeds. If nothing else, doing so might prevent mass from getting stuck at the front of the bubble which would cause a rather big boom…
So here's a question.. What happens if some bored crewmember decides they want to go for a spacewalk outside the bubble as the ship is "travelling" at say, 10c? Do they get pulped when they get to the edge of the bubble? Do they get spagettified in the direction of travel of the ship, effectively leaving a…
time would be unaffected provided they stay in the bubble (approaching the boundary might dilate time somewhat, but I'm not an expert so don't quote me on that).
Not really, though that is another theory about the universe (perhaps the speed of light is slowing down instead of the universe growing which would allow movement faster than "c" as it is conventionally regarded).
Nope, the crew will be perfectly fine and quite honestly, they won't be able to really tell. Even looking in front of you I don't think would look blue-shifted because you're inside the bubble as is the light that just entered it.
I've read before that a warp drive would have the issue of collecting a massive amount of energy and mass throughout its journey which would explode in a massive explosion the moment you turned it off. Idk if the revised version of the drive by White would have this issue or not though.
not quite as spirited as you, but it is nice to know that they're doing something with our money :P
I can't believe I'm doing this, but in their defense, he was within range of the generator for the lighthouse so I guess that means that the magic energy blocking beacon thing that turned off the power only affects power sources and not wires themselves?
So let's say these tracking chips exist. The CIA would surely never actually initiate a strike unless they got an order to do so from the informant that planted it and I really doubt informants would ever sell their chip and then proceed to order the attack on the buyer's target.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this sounds like Syfy is basically choosing the winner here.. Give the best bot to a team and provided they aren't idiots, they'll probably win.
dude, chill..
That makes sense...
lol my friends aren't the problem, it's other people (many of them family, including my mother). Heck, my even my ex-girlfriend who is also a programmer never seemed to approve which struck me as odd. What's ironic is the girl I'm interested in now tried learning to program a while back but hated it and is in a…
And now I know what phone I'm getting next month (unless some new one comes out or something)... I was not expecting the battery on this thing to do better than the GS3, but if it does, that kinda knocks it out of the running so you're effectively left with the RAZR MAXX HD which though unkillable, I have access to…
1. Look up an app called FoxFi...
I program video games and my brother and his wife both design websites. To get any respect from most people I have to say I'm a computer programmer and they have to call themselves artists. Kinda sad, really..
So basically, pick whichever below is most important...
lol I think I would actually watch this..
I've tried out a few different ones and Handcent is my personal favorite.
