Currently resources are controlled based on profit for a few people/corporations/governments to decide how to control and distribute based on their needs. Not on the needs of the people.

First we discussed how people were stupid and how too many of them is a problem. That lead to politics and zombies. Then in the course of discussing alternatives to the current circumstance I brought up some of the ideas that have been summarily ignored for decades.
