The problem with depiction of “uncontacted peoples” or different cultures in general from people who don’t know enough about the “depicted” is that it often promotes false information about them.

The problem is that, most of the time, when “white” people (I am) try to depict other culture, they do it poorly and with stereotypes that aren’t good for the depicted peoples. That’s why we don’t hear a lot of that about white peoples... We heard that about gays and lesbians on TV in the 90's and 2000's (and before…
