I think it would have actually worked as a short story, if it was written by someone who's a really good writer. If this had been penned by Shirley Jackson or Charlotte Perkins GIlman or even Kelley Link, I think it would have been really beautiful and creepy. As it was, meh

I spent a large part of the episode thinking - Jeez this guy is gorgeous. And then it made sense-duh of course he's gorgeous, this society only wants perfect people-great casting.
