At literally no point does Jody do anything even remotely close to that. You’re bringing your own preconceptions or sensitivities into this.

I feel like they signed those waivers under the assumption that the venue was providing a safe environment that was up to basic safety standards. From my understanding, foam pits used in gymnastics or similar venues need a minimum of 4' and a padded floor mat under it.

Even with those waivers in place, a lawyer and argue that the plaintiff assumed reasonable safety parameters were put in place before participating and clearly that shallow “pit” was anything but reasonably safe.

Every conversation I’ve ever had with a lawyer about those waivers is that they’re basically worthless if you have a lawyer who’s at least minimally competent.

Depends on the language of the waivers, and there are things that a waiver cannot actually waive.

I remember when one of the big selling points of the 10-series NVidia GPUs was not only increased performance graphically, but also reduced power consumption at the same time. Now they’ve basically just said “fuck it” on efficiency just to pump out bigger numbers. 

Take your business elsewhere or whatever but DO NOT hassle the frontline staff over this. They have no say in the matter and only have another new burden to bear. Literally people, this is why we can’t have nice things.
