Ugh! It’s so depressing that this is far more common than I thought. . . this behavior should be illegal but considering it’s still so difficult to prosecute rape and sexual assault- I don’t know why anything surprises me anymore.

No- that’s what’s so creepy. They’d hang up if a guy answered the hotline, but for women the signs you would look for were extremely vague and increasingly spread out with longer pauses comments about depression. (“I feel sad. . . “[long pause] etc)
