I have no one to blame for this but myself.
I’m pretty sure Kevin Feige had a Vision.
Yeah I think that’s reading a lot into it that just isn’t there.
The Wachowskis outright ask audiences to question everything they’re being told on screen. They want us to disengage with Reloaded as a narrative and look at it from an outside perspective—to unplug and see the code, to detect the manipulation in their filmmaking and apply it to their understanding of Neo’s journey.
What even makes Sylvie a Loki? Are her parents also Frigga and Odin?
Could be Rob Liefeld... a few years later, but notice you never see anyone’s feet...
Because some of us ENJOY storylines that take time for character-heavy development and interaction.
In the comics the character is literally modeled on writer Mark Gruenwald. Owen Wilson is made up specifically to look more like him.
The Loki on this show that has fistfights with - and is sometimes overpowered by - seemingly totally normal human mortals has me confused when I think about the Loki that traded blows with Thor and had a slight edge on Captain America.
One of the notes I took was, “What are the ethics of hooking up with your own variant?”
If I were Sylvie and had worked for years to achieve a mission only for Loki to keep me from it, I would be A LOT angrier.
This felt like the first part of a Doctor Who two-parter. (That is not a compliment, though I do like Doctor Who.)
She’s The Enchantress. The first one was an Asgardian named Amora, second one was Sylvie Lushton, given powers by Loki to aid in his schemes and she modeled herself after the first. Sounds like they are going on a take on the second version. She is definitely more than just Loki but a woman so I’m curious to see where…
I know it’s silly but I’m bi and hearing Loki say ‘a bit of both’ was pretty thrilling for me. But yeah other than that the episode didn’t do much for me. Still on board with the show though.
Okay, so Loki saying “a little bit of both” was him implying he’s bi, yeah? Because that is all I want in this world
blessed is GenX, for we lived the full idiocy of our youth with no video evidence to haunt us...
Fat? Hairy? Silly? Slob? Me only some of those things. Okay, me all of those things... but so much more! Anyway, me agree with Trickrick1985 that me have more range as actor and deserve to get opportunity to stretch out on show.
Why Isn’t Pixar The AVClub As Good As It Used to Be?
What good is having access to all time and space if you can't score a few cases of your favourite discontinued soda once in a while?
