I think the real problem here is this was a time that Chrysler designers were coming up with cool pickup concepts, but making them into production smaller SUV’s since that’s what was selling. The dodge nitro was basically an SUV M80, and the Durango was inspired by the Power Wagon concept.

Same here. And with constantly backlit gauges that need to be backlit to be seen, you have the additional problem that when you go into a daylight headlight section, your gauges dim and immediately turn invisible when you turn on the lights.

Mazda would make a heart that no one could figure out if it was 2 or six chambers, would pump smoother and faster than most other hearts, right up to the point it would start spitting cartilage into the aorta.
