Stacey Abrams as his VP would address that easily. That being said, Biden would do well to partner up with a progressive VP candidate. That could bring some of the Bernie supporters over. Maybe even enough to win in November.

This. Many Bernie supporters will not show up to vote for Biden. A status quo candidate is not engaging enough for them to turn up. Biden supporters, by and large, will be the same people who voted for Hillary. If we want another four years of Trump, by all means, nominate Biden. 

Boggles my mind that people could be so repulsed by people having fun supporting their candidate.
