I'm really looking forward to this remake. I never played the original despite loving the surrounding entries. I was turned off by the time aspect and was dreading trying to run away from the nemesis with tank controls.

And Xenogears lost developers *to* FFVIII, which makes this all more painful. I enjoy the gameplay of FFVIII all these years later, but damn Xenogears is such a significantly better story, with an unfortunately rushed second disc.
