Speaking of Dany’s servants, I still miss Irri

While you’re probably right, my biggest gripe with the show currently is that the passage of time seems incredibly uneven. In one storyline, you’ll get the passage of hours, while in others you get days/weeks/months. I’ve noticed it a lot this season.

I had the exact same take. She and Littlefinger were watching the same match, and now they both know that Sansa has not one, but two warriors to protect her – and not just any warriors, arguably the greatest fighters in the world. Arya probably isn’t the only Stark with a list.

And even though Sansa’s not “magic” like

Thats true. Maisie Williams and Gwendoline Christie knocked that scene out of the park. When Brienne knocked Arya down, and she was like “oh shit oh shit oh shit what did I just do that’s a Lady!” and I love how Arya was like “listen you beat The Hound let’s spar” just every facial expression by both of them expressed

I guess this show totally warps my sense of morality. If I’m Sansa, I’m thinking “GREAT WE HAVE ANOTHER BADASS WARRIOR TO FIGHT AGAINST CERSEI SHE AND BRIENNE COULD LITERALLY TAKE ON THE ENTIRE LANNISTER ARMY THEMSELVES FUCK YEAH”

The best part of that was Littlefinger - scheming for years - only to not plan for the “Starks are total freaks” scenario.

There’s a meme going around that makes this point. It shows Cersei being her power-crazed self and then Dany demanding that everyone bend the knee and threatening to roast people and then Sansa trying to make sure everyone will have enough food to survive the winter.

If I were separated from my kid sister for years and found out she’d become an assassin, I’d be disturbed too. Sansa has always had a motherly instinct. Last episode, she was all, “OK how are we going to feed everyone?” Now she’s realizing all Arya must have gone through to get to where she is. She also was probably

My fun theory is that Cersei will kill Tyrion which will finally lead to Jaime realizing he has to take her out. Then Jaime gets to kill a mad king AND a mad queen and he can go off and marry/have roadtrips with Brienne because that was my favorite “buddy” story line..

Jon is “Ice and Fire”, I have a bad feeling this ends with Jon killing Dany in such a way that he also kills the Night King- he’s starting to fit more and more in the “Prince who was Promised” /Azhor Azhai prophecies and if they hold he has at least one more massive horrible thing that has to happen prior to saving

I had a lady boner during that entire scene. And my husband had the nerve to ask why.

“Fuck it we’ll just do it live”! - H.B Oreilly

I totally got the sense that she was showing Little Finger that she could fuck him up in an instant and to be cautious. loved it so much.

Oh you didnt hear this was the live air showing? They had to do it 3 times across the timezones since it was done live. Each dragon had a different airing since they get tired. Rhaegal’s bolt was pretty close to the neck, which was a big scare and the dragon trainer on set was PISSED.

“Meanwhile, Sansa is just starting to figure out that not only has Bran come back a total fuckin’ weirdo, her sister Arya is a homicidal maniac.”

Yup, she was considered the best fighter after The Mountain, The Hound, and Jaime Lannister — and she’s bested both The Hound and Jaime (and Jaime acknowledged she was better than him, even pre handchopping). And, Arya just took on who is now the second best fighter in Westeros — and the best non-zombie one.

“Jesus Christ. I’ve been mentally tortured by two different people, raped, and the best relationship I’ve had has been with Tyrion Lannister who I hated but at least he wasn’t just the worst....and -I’m- the one with the least PTSD? What the fuck is wrong with you people? How am -I- the sane one here?”

I don’t know if you realized, 2 people have been moving things around, try to get to power from behind the scenes, Littlefinger vs Varus.

Randyll Tarly said the gold made it back to King’s Landing but I think Cersei is going to use it for something else. She mentioned contacting the fighters from Essos so maybe she uses the gold to pay them instead of repaying the Iron Bank? Also, how much of the Lannister and Tyrell forces were left behind? I wonder

I left this episode feeling meh (moreso than usual) about the Queen of Dragons. She’ll help defeat the White Walkers when Jon Snow bends the knee? Jesus christ enough already. All the badass dragons in the world can’t save her from being a myopic idiot.
