As the owner of an ‘18 XC90, I’d love to know if Uber disabled the built-in Volvo collision avoidance systems, like “Pedestrian Detection” and “Large Animal Detection*”. Volvo touts these technologies and I’ve seen them work first-hand.

I have heard/read the same... Look at the Callum-designed Jag F-Type. That gave me my answer.

Not bad at all, figure a few hundred per year at a good indy shop. As long as they’re driven, they’re happy. And many, many parts can be cross-referenced to the equivalent Jag/Volvo/Rover part for 1/4th of the price or less.
