That’s the thing that makes me so mad about all these stupid ballet photoshoots, like this one and the one from Free People a couple of years ago. Being en pointe without the proper training and ankle strength is incredibly dangerous! And, it looks stupid.

I get what she’s saying. Those things aren’t martial arts, but they give you a sense of physical awareness, a sense of control and respect for your body. I understand why one would recall this when physically threatened.

“’I used to be dancer and a gymnast, so this is why I’m very good at fighting,’ she said. Makes sense to me!”

Having seen the number of hours of strength training and practice ballerinas must go through to get properly “over” their toes, I can understand their irritation.

Okay, I work at a dance school. A lot of the students were pissed about this because her pointe work was atrocious, to the extent that it looked like she’d break her feet. They were also annoyed because there are a number of beautiful ballerinas they could have hired. Ballet is a skill that takes years to master,

I wouldn’t wish a dead dog on my worst enemy, and that includes Mike Pence. I’m glad his furbabybeagle had a long life and, unlike American women, was probably treated very respectfully by Pence.

So weird—I heard she’ll be 45 in January.

Still my fav!

I like Make America Great Britain Again

Seconded! I come to Dirt Bag because I am lazy and only want to read the links about people I recognize. This laziness is forcing me to be less lazy. And you won’t like me when I’m less lazy (Jk, I’m too lazy to carry out vaguely threatening statements).

But it could apparently also sever an artery, so I’ll pass.

Chiropractors are con artists. It’s not uncommon to come across chriropractors who are Anti-vaxxers or being against fluoride in the water.

If that was her average street walk, I’d say it is horrible. It is like she is very unsure of herself and she would rather be hiding. How hasn’t anyone just dragged her off the catwalk. Where is Miss J when you need her?

Sure, 300k sounds like a lot to restore a pair of shoes, but I’m completely OK with this. The Smithsonian is one of the greatest (if not the single greatest) museum systems in the entire world, and it is entirely free for anyone to attend. Sure, it receives some taxpayer funding for facilities, but most of the

It’s not though. This is pretty standard for conservation projects. It’s not simply a matter of hot gluing sequins on and calling it a day. It will require a lot of research and analysis. Finding the appropriate materials, ensuring that the shoes are not further damaged, ensuring that whatever restoration technique is

If the idea is to do it exactly to spec, that involves researching the materials used and the construction, sourcing or re-creating said materials, preserving as much of the original shoe as possible, and (here’s the clincher) hiring the people to dedicate their time to doing so and make it look like it wasn’t a

I’ve had very odd dreams about people after they died. When my grandmother died, I had constant dreams about her. We were so close that at the funeral many of our family friends came up to me specifically to give their condolences and say things like “I know this must be especially difficult for you, she loved you so

But...you didn’t leave her even after she scared you. 😭

This is less scary and just paranormal..

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I have many paranormal stories but here’s one.
