To be fair, it says right there on the back of the truck “DODGE”.

Funny,

And people have now adopted the same attitude about cars as airlines implemented about luggage. That luggage is to protect the contents of the bag, and suitcases are expendable. People don’t even try to avoid collisions. They approach every situation assuming that the insurance companies will replace their totaled car.

A “HUGE” increase that isn’t really there in the real world, from the sample size of folks I work with. EPA numbers are essentially meaningless when manufacturers are putting undersized turbo engines in that have to work way too hard, as proven by the post about GM’s V8 vs I4 truck.

WHOA! Yeah, definitely a Nice Price! Worth restoring because all the original square-edged pieces are there. Parts amazingly, can still be sourced. I know vintage bikes . . .

Exactly, ditto and thanks

“Too many people don’t seem to understand this.”

And if SUVs/CUVs fall, it won’t be a gas mileage thing, it’ll be a style thing.

First, and Neutral: Gas will go up. Everybody will freak out. The players who kept making GOOD sedans will be ready.  Ford’s awesome new RWD Explorer will be the right product at the wrong time.

I hate that I don’t hate this.

Whether it’s combat-ready or not, it’s definitely air-show ready, which is what really matters when you need to quickly sell a lot of these to our “allies”.

“We look at, how does the car work together,” some random aftermarket tuner said. “What is the chassis balance, what is the powertrain for that, and where we landed on that—900hp 2Jz swap provides us with the best combination of vehicle power and acceleration to the weight and chassis.”

Witch hunts with no evidence and wild accusations have always gone well, historically. I’m sure this one will be no different.

“The Renesis engine is basically choking itself...”

On paper they made power. Actual power was less. They derated the engine several times when it first came out.

I’m inclined to say Fuck PrEP.

Very fitting for Cadillac. Even their logo will be an empty shell of its former self.

I’m not sure why it’s always doom and gloom when sales numbers are down. They were suppressed in the recession to the point that sales figures got way too high once people finally could get a new car after owning one 11 years through a recession. But then they locked everyone up in 72 month loans. Like honestly, who

Yeah, my husband and I are trying to do this. Buying everything we possibly can from the local grocery store instead of going to Walmart/Target/Amazon. Yeah, we pay a bit more and maybe they don’t have the exact brands we want because they stock a smaller inventory of choices out of necessity, but we’re supporting

We were the same, except we put diapers on “subscribe and save.” Diapers were stolen from our porch. DIapers arrived late. Then we realized we were pretty good at predicting how long a pack of diapers or a can of formula would last, and just bought everything at Costco, a company that objectively does NOT suck.
