Honestly, that advice isn’t even really limited to depression, either. What I would add, though, is that you can’t expect every emotional response to be rational or to even have a reason. Sure, sometimes you need to listen and let them talk through their problems, but sometimes there isn’t a problem to talk through.…

Lauren Greenfield is a huge talent and I've admired her work for a long time. Her photography is also stunning.

I love that Patti LuPone did this. Theater-goers with cell phones are some of my least favorite people. Those tickets aren’t cheap, and I’ll be god damned if I don’t sit near someone texting/taking pictures/tweeting/playing candy crush EVERY FUCKING TIME.
