I just cannot stop laughing at this thing.

I am stealing that, with full attribution to “random comment online (not mine).”

Kramer vs. Logic

Lionel Hutz has argued before every divorce judge in town. Often as a husband!

Now playing

The only complex thing about that film was the kid and how he became a football being thrown between the both of them and how they were ruining his future by using his trust fund to pay for lawyers, the flying back and forth, etc.

One of the dumbest fake controversies in a year of dumb fake controversies. Just an excuse for people who already hated Tarantino to talk shit about him.

I’m no expert on Noah Baumbach movies (although I know he’s a New Yorker), but I kept sensing a weird anti-LA vibe throughout this movie.

Yah she really was wonderful in it and I think the criticism about her lack of lines discredits what a fantastic job she did.

Completely agree.

All I needed to know about Marriage Story I learned from the podcast Hollywood Handbook, where they summed up the movie as “Adam Driver argues he could’ve slept with ANYONE in his 20's, and he SETTLED on Scarlett Johansen.”

SIDEBAR: God, FUCK Kevin Costner.

Don’t forget how both of them are able to afford and switch between high-priced lawyers for an unnecessarily expensive divorce.

James Mangold is an always entertaining director, and really upped his game with Logan. But you’re right, it has the feel of a 90s prestige pic

Nothing wrong with her. But it’s a middlebrow infotainment film that softpeddles sexual harassment and glorifies complicit Fox News anchors. I would have been psyched to see her get nominated for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

I’m letting go of ever understanding the appeal of Kristen Stewarts self concious mannerisms that have been deemed good acting. Thank you

How so?

I do like a lot of his politics; I don’t like him. He’s a prick. He’s a smug bully. He’s a stuck-up douchebag. He’s a snooty, edgelording a-hole who embodies every piece of slander the right throws at their opponents.

The great Netflix Doc, Behind the Curve covers this. The need for companionship and a sense of the world far outweighs the need for logic. See also, every religion in history.
