I love horror/thriller movies. They are my favorite genre. But, like many women, I’ve been sexually assaulted. It’s hard to find a good horror movie that does not involve the sexual assault of a woman. I’m not sure why; it’s such a lazy ass trope that is used entirely too often.

This whole thing has been exhausting, as a sexual assault survivor. It’s like everywhere I turn there are rape apologists—more so than usual.

It isn’t like we’re complaining about her “angry eyebrows” or anything like that. Her lies about her immigration status and other bits of her background directly reflect on her husband’s “policies” about immigration and “vetting”.
