It’s not—the 2018 330i is 3410 lbs, the 2019 is 3541 lbs—that’s a net 131-lbs weight gain.

They show Meryl actually at the hospital in Truman town, so I’m assuming her life away can’t be too far away from the set in Hollywood.

From an enthusiast perspective that may be true (IDX makes me sad to this day), but sales-wise they’re doing gangbusters. The Versa Note is the top-selling car in Japan, beating the Prius C (Toyota Aqua).

As a kid growing up in the ‘80s, I loved E30 BMWs, from the day they first came out. Then I decided the E28 looked better (never the E24 or E23). When the E34 came out I was in love. To me it was the perfect blend of luxury, elegance and sportiness. Then the E34 M5 came out, and I was in love with it, especially in

Without the iconic circular headlamps it looks eyeless, like a Xenomorph.

Unnecessary weird angles is what does it. Old Bimmer interiors had a functionality to its aesthetic. Take this Z4's AC vents flanking the left and right side--it doesn’t flow or look in line with anything in the center stack and dash. They think futuristic = overwrought.

Daytona Violet Purple. Not as vivid, still amazing.

With all that skill, you’d think they’d make the front/rear look like a 959.

Also amazed the devs didn’t spill the beans for all those years, so cool.

Thanks! It’s a regular S38B36, but with a six-speed swap from the 95 Euro model. Brembo F40 calipers, extended leather interior, E31 airbag wheel.

Current E34 M5 owner so I’m a bit biased to them myself...

Back in the day purists slammed the US-spec E36 M3, before the “bros” ever caught on to the E30. Mainly for the S52 engine that’s a spruced up M52 as opposed to the more exclusive S50 (and its pretty ITB).

A $50,000 car, then spend $250k restomodding it by the likes of Icon.

Ah I see, I stand corrected. I see it’s including the front camera display, which would then be $556. Not as expensive as the i3 but not cheap either.

Think it’s referring to the outside mirrors, since Chevy’s interior mirror has like a $45 MSRP.

Jason isn’t right on this one. Heckblende is any trim panel in between the taillight, doesn’t matter if it’s a light, plastic, metal or reflective. The black plastic panel between the taillights on older BMWs are called heckblende, just like the red plastic ones.

Where is that flat stretch of desert? It’s near LA?

340i M Sport steering is terrible in terms of feel though. It’s not about HP or torque numbers, but how it feels. B58 is a great engine, it’s the chassis that’s so meh. Not necessarily a hydraulic vs. electric steering issue, since the 440i coupe/GC feels a lot better for some reason.

I don’t buy this simplistic notion of “CARB is good,” if you ever dealt with the hassle of modding your car and being compliant, it’s less about emissions and more about controlling what you can do with your car.

Both are costly to develop, and to put it simply, it’s just what the market is willing to pay. Lower-priced economy cars have more volume of sales to make up for the slimmer margins, capitalizing on economies of scale. Higher up you have less volume, so carmakers make more money with less. Porsche doesn’t need to
